The ball pythons have company

You asked. We made room.

Since Monty launched, we've had lots of requests from keepers of other exotics. Could their geckos come along? What about boas, tortoises, frogs or tarantulas?

It turns out not everyone keeps just ball pythons. Some of you have animals with legs. Some have rather a lot of legs. We didn't want their keepers missing out.

Monty 2.0 brings 84 supported species into the same app, with records and tools that respect their differences. Ball pythons are still at the heart of Monty. They've just got more neighbours.

A name with room for more

Monty: Ball Python Manager is becoming Monty: Ball Python & Exotics. Same Monty, with a name that welcomes more of the animals you keep. You'll still see Monty beneath the app icon.

• Species-specific morph catalogues and genetics tools where supported.
• Colony records, census tracking and supported spawn-cohort workflows.
• The Lineage Atlas for exploring recorded parents and ancestors.
• Animal photo galleries and parentage on the animal form.
• Detailed animal statistics on Monty+ and Pro, and Collection Insights on Pro.
• Optional Google Drive sync between supported Monty 2.0 devices, alongside iCloud on Apple devices and OneDrive backup on Windows.
• Updated layouts, onboarding and reminder scheduling.
